Planning a wedding is a beautiful thing, after all, you are preparing for the D-Day. However, the preparations involve many phone calls and e-mails, making it a demanding process that requires good timing. A wedding day is a big event that requires thorough preparation and time. In every step, from choosing a place to the last details of the decoration, it is important to know when to start. Rushing too much can lead to stress, while procrastinating until the last minute can mean limited options. Once you’ve set a date, you’ve got something to work on. This time, we will guide you step by step and show you when is the best time to start solving key wedding issues so that your day runs smoothly and without unnecessary worries.
The wedding venue is probably the most important part of the whole planning. It not only defines the atmosphere of your big day, but also determines many other aspects of the wedding, such as the number of guests or the theme of the wedding. Booking a venue should be the first thing you tackle, ideally 12 to 18 months in advance. The standard situation is to reserve a place approximately one year in advance. We still have a few dates left for 2025, but you need to hurry before they slip away.
TIP: When choosing a place, also take into account whether you have the option of dry or wet options. This offer will definitely give you peace of mind. At Na Pasece, we have an outdoor Bedouin tent and a barn with a restaurant available for wedding celebrations.
For many brides, the wedding dress is a key element of the whole day. Whether you want a custom-made dress or prefer to rent or buy from a salon, it is important to start your selection early. The ideal time is 9 to 12 months before the wedding, because not only the selection itself can take a longer time, but also any custom adjustments require several weeks or months.
TIP: When choosing a dress, think about what you personally feel good in. And at the same time, don’t forget the accessories – the veil, jewelry and shoes also deserve time to choose.
A good celebration also includes good food and drink. Well-planned catering, including a wedding cake, will elevate your wedding day to a higher level. In order for everything to be to your liking, we recommend ordering a buffet or lunch, as well as sweet desserts and cake approximately 6 to 9 months in advance.
TIP: Ask for a tasting. You don’t want your wedding day to be ruined by not liking the food served. Planning ahead is also important in order to be able to have any tastings of the main menu and the cake.
Music creates the atmosphere that accompanies your big day, from the ceremony to the evening celebration. Deciding between a live band and a DJ is an important step. It is ideal to start looking for musical accompaniment 6 to 9 months before the wedding, so that they are free on your date.
Floral decoration and the overall design of the wedding space are an integral part of every wedding. You should plan to contact a florist approximately 3 to 6 months before the wedding. In this way, you will be able to fine-tune all the decorations to perfection and adapt them to the place you have chosen.
Your big day is approaching and it’s time to finalize all the details. Ensure all bookings are confirmed (including those from guests) and communication with suppliers runs smoothly. During this period, you will also have final dress, hair and makeup tests.
TIP: Consider getting a wedding coordinator or someone close to you to take over. In it you will find not only help, but also support during the wedding day.
Planning a wedding can be challenging, but with early planning and a careful approach, everything is easy to manage. The key is to start booking early, communicate with suppliers and prepare for unexpected situations. Whether you hire a wedding coordinator or make all the arrangements yourself, remember that the wedding is all about you and it’s your Big Day. Enjoy it!
